I created this blog to encourage women of color around the world to change their health and beauty routines to a more natural approach that supports long term health all while maintaining your pretty.

After going through various health scares I decided it was time to make a drastic change to my eating habits. I stopped all processed foods and opted for organic, fresh, whole foods that nourished my body from within. I soon began to see a positive improvement in how my body and energy felt on the inside.

As I began to change my diet and lifestyle habits I started to think about what beauty products I was using on my skin. Our skin is the largest organ so what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in your body. I went natural long before I changed my eating habits. With my natural hair I was always conscious about avoiding certain ingredients and trying to promote the health of my hair. It only made sense to apply those same principles to my makeup and beauty products.

When I started my search for organic and natural alternatives it became quite a challenge to find natural beauty brands that had options for women of color. There were very few brands that catered to women of color or at least provided deeper shades or more color options that complemented brown skin. I knew that I could not be the only woman of color that wanted to take a more holistic approach to her health and beauty routine. As a solution I created this blog as an outlet to learn and share green beauty and organic lifestyle methods options.

On this blog I share tips, tools, how-to’s, resources and access to natural and organic brands for hair, skin, makeup, and health. My mission is to create a movement that celebrates all shades of beauty while being eco-friendly and health conscious.

You don’t have to sacrifice your health in the name of beauty!
